Sustainable values at Kentisbury Grange

Kentisbury Grange is situated on the doorstep of Exmoor National Park, surrounded by rolling hills and nature. We believe in giving back and being respectful of the part of the world that we inhabit, so we do all we can to reduce our carbon footprint and support our community and local businesses where possible. Take a look at some of the steps we’ve taken, and if you want to know more then just ask a question.

Recycling and Food Waste

We recycle cardboard, paper, plastic, glass, aluminium and our food waste too. If you’re able to help us by separating items in your room, that’s great, but don’t worry if not as we work with the local council to ensure that the items are sent into the right waste streams.

Toiletries

We’ve partnered with Era who now supply all of our toiletries across the Estate. We chose the brand because of their ethos and values. They use biodegradable and recyclable packaging, the products are paraben free and are not tested on animals.

Bedding

Our duvets and pillows are recycled hollowfibre made from recycled plastic bottles, which redirects waste bottles from landfill and uses 70% less carbon dioxide, 70% less water and 40% less energy during manufacture. They are OEKO-TEX 100 certified for skin-friendly properties and are super cosy.

Local Suppliers

Our Head Chef, Paul Corston is passionate about good quality, locally produced food. All meat, fish and vegetables are sourced within a 20-mile radius, supporting small, independent traders. The menu is changed on a regular basis to adapt with the seasons. The wine menu also adapts, with wines chosen to perfectly pair with dishes on the menu.
