Less than one week to go

With just under one week to go until the Kentisbury Grange fundraising evening for local community smallholding, Apple Tree Farm, we want to express our thanks and gratitude for the people and suppliers that are making this event possible!

Our head chef Paul and his wife Alison adopted their little boy in 2017.  In 2020, they discovered that he had Foetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD).  This diagnosis helped the family understand some of the behaviours that he was displaying such as refusing to go out, distancing himself from friends and a lack of focus and impulse control.  They discovered the benefits of farm therapy whilst working with local CIC Apple Tree Farm.

Paul and Alison would like to help Apple Tree Farm to raise money for a sensory room which includes fibre optic and reactive lighting, musical instruments and tactile objects, creating a safe and welcoming space for children with additional needs.

In order to help them in their quest, here at Kentisbury Grange we will be hosting a one night only, fine dining experience in The Coach House on Monday 7 March 2022. The menu includes a wealth of local delicacies and experiences; our Head Chef Paul will be taking care of the Miso Glazed Beechridge Duck.  Paul will be joined by local award-winning chefs including Ellis Parnell from the Pyne Arms who will be making his Bombay Brixham Cod, Olivier Certain from The Mason Arms who will be sharing his Beesands Scallops, and Wayne Pearson, a renowned local chef (WP Catering) who will be responsible for the Assiette of Chocolate.

We have also received incredible donations from local suppliers Dart Fresh, S & J Fisheries, Savona Foodservice and St Austell Brewery.  A huge thanks for your generosity, it ensures that every penny raised on the night can go to the beneficiaries, Apple Tree Farm and the National Organisation for FASD.

The night will also include a pledge auction and one of the amazing prizes on offer is a Pudsey Bear which has been signed by Sir David Attenborough himself!  To make a donation, please visit the GoFundMe page. We’re well on our way to our £7,500 target, but every penny helps!

There are limited tickets still available for the evening, please contact us on 01271 545008 or email sales@kentisburygrange.com to secure yours, just £100 per person to include a five course meal and wine flight.
